Gelatin Silver Print ARTIST'S NOTE: As my children have grown, so has my need to photograph them. It is the "down time" that interests me most: the time between events, the time when nothing seems to be happening, the time that comprises most of our lives. ABOUT THE ARTIST: Patricia D. Richards has an MFA from Southern Methodist University and Master of Science in Education, Universtiy of So. California. She has worked as a teacher and curator and is widely published. Her work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions across the U.S., and is collected in major collections such as NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART, SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION, Wash.
