ARTIST'S NOTE: As my children have grown, so has my need to photograph them. It is the "down time" that interests me most: the time between events, the time when nothing seems to be happening, the time that comprises most of our lives.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Patricia D. Richards has an MFA from Southern Methodist University and Master of Science in Education, Universtiy of So. California. She has worked as a teacher and curator and is widely published.
