"Tapestry of Love" depicts the emotional state of a young maiden who is in the middle of embroidering. The image of a child on her headware shows her desire of being a mother. The faces of a man and a woman on the sides and her coy smile indicate her fantasy about romance. The painting itself is an image of an embroidery square. Huang particularly appreciates the embroidery squares of the Miao & Dong Minorities. They are the common items among the Miao People, but they are all unique. No two embroidery squares are alike because each piece is made with creativity, dreams, and love by a young maiden. Her very own square will become her marriage token and her baby's carrier. Even though the general themes and forms are similar, each intricate piece reflects the emotional state of the maker at the time she makes it.
