This was another instance when the Polaroid 600 release button did not function. I have to press it several times to get it to work—there is an SX-70 in the near future. Finally I pointed the camera at myself and pressed—FLASH!! It fired, and was a terrible picture (I looked like a deer caught in headlights!), so of course I drew all over it, exaggerating my glasses and hair. With the cutting and corrosion it became a much more interesting portrait. This was about stage 3 of soaking it in water. Each water phase creates different surfaces.
