The beach front at Windward Circle (the heart of the boardwalk) and the entire Venice public beach and parkway were just undergoing a major renovation when I shot this photograph one cold January day. I was thrilled to see that graffiti artists were hired to paint these long windbreak walls, which provide a fantastic colorful backdrop for the beach and bike path. I emphasized the orange of the film with chroma solarization in Photoshop, which turned it electric orange.
