Setting Browser Email Preferences

Most websites have a built-in e-mail link through which you can communicate directly with the company and/or webmaster. The link, when clicked on, provides a pop-up window with a pre-addressed e-mail form in the application of your choice (Outlook Express, Eudora, AOL, Earthlink, etc). Some people have indicated that they are unable to take advantage of this feature. This is because they did not set those preferences in their browsers. Here is what to do:

In Internet Explorer, go to Edit > Preferences and under E-mail select General:

In Netscape, go to Edit > Preferences and under Mail & Newsgroups select Identity:

Then go to the next category down, Mail Servers.
If the "Incoming Mail Servers" window is blank, click on ADD:

Fill in the necessary information and then finish with the previous window.
